MDA is fighting to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the devastating effects of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases so they can live longer and grow stronger.
Over the past 3 years, Kappa Sigma Mu has raised money throughout the school year to donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at the MDA Walk in the spring. Muscular Dystrophy has touched many of our Sisters through family members and friends. The MDA Walk is our opportunity to show support for these Sisters and everyone else who has been affected by muscular dystrophy. MDA fights not only for a cure, but also to assist the families of children with muscular dystrophy. To learn more about MDA, please click the link below.
For the 2016 MDA Walk, we got to dress up as the "Women of Disney" to match the walk's theme of "The Red Carpet." We spotted some baby giraffes, plenty of peacocks, and, of course, we had to take some time to admire the beautiful elephants at the Milwaukee County Zoo. It was a perfect day for a walk, and it was amazing to see all of the support Milwaukee had to show for MDA.
