I joined KSM because I feel that this world needs to be more accepting of people from different backgrounds. I also wanted to get to know more powerful women that aren't the same major or grade as I am.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose to be a Mechanical Engineering major because I love how hands on it can be. I grew up in the drag racing world, and I absolutely loved it. I wanted to tear things apart and see how they worked all the time! I wanted a job that I would love, and Mechanical Engineering would allow that.
Describe your culture
My family and I are descendants of Europeans. From what I've been told, I am primarily German, French, and Hungarian. Personally, I feel that my culture comes more from the paths that I've taken to become the woman I am than my ethnicity. I was raised Catholic, but my mother left the church when I was young. When I was in fifth grade, I rediscovered religion through Christianity. I hold true to my faith today. This being said, I feel that no matter my religion it is extremely important to know the intricacies of all religions.
