My favorite thing about KSM is being able to be myself around all my sisters and knowing I can be the best version of myself meanwhile being able to help impact the community.
Describe your culture.
I grew up as a first-generation American often times having to choose between the "Russian" and "American" way of things. I am surrounded by foods made by my grandmothers that date back to the soviet union. Although my family never have embraced the Jewish religion too me, the religion my whole family goes by, however I have always seen myself pulled and interested into the religion, and keep hoping to build on my knowledge and faith of the religion. We still have many Russian- Jewish tradition throughout the holidays and year.
Why did you choose your major?
I choose Nursing because I really enjoy helping those who need it and I have a lot of compassion to give. Nursing deals with giving out compassion and helping out those who need it every day by putting those above myself during that time. This is something I do in my life everyday; giving out compassion, helping those who need it, and putting those above myself to help them be successful. Nursing chose me.
