I love that I can be a part of a sorority dedicated to bigger causes and positive change. My favorite thing about KSM is the open-mindedness and open-heartedness that goes along learning about other cultures, beliefs, and traditions.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose Civil Engineering because I believe it’ll present many opportunities to travel and help others in the future. I’ve always had an interest in infrastructure and it’ll be amazing to someday apply what I learn at MSOE to help in places where there is little to no safe transportation routes or clean water or where those systems are failing. There are so many paths and options available with a degree in Civil Engineering and I can’t wait to see where the road (pun intended) ahead leads me!
Describe your culture.
Polish and German traditions are prevalent in my family, particularly holidays rooted in the Catholic faith. We also love cooking together. My dad is Type 1 diabetic, so eating healthy, home-cooked meals has always been a big part of my life. My mom's family lives pretty far from my hometown, so visiting them fueled my passion for travel and experiencing new cultures.
